As a painter, I am self-taught, I have been painting since I was a teenager (now about 30 years ago). I started on my way with fantastic realism, then went on to surrealism. Later, taking a break from accurately painted details, I started on large formats of abstract works with my hands as only tools.  At the moment, I enjoy the fusion of abstract and realistic elements, working with bare hands  as well as with brushes and airbrush. My favorite material is acrylic paint – its short drying time allows the rapid and continuous workflow I prefer.  When painting, I usually sink into my work after some time, some kind of flow starts. From that moment on, I do not consciously decide what I am doing, I just let it happen.  I do not orientate myself by what is “fashionable” at the moment, or by other artist’s works, but only by my own inspiration. So I can’t say what I’ll do tomorrow – and I like that very much.
